A Message to Our Valued Guests
As we focus on building out brick and mortar locations of our recently developed concepts in 2018, we’ll be taking a temporary break from dinner service at The MINA Test Kitchen. The MINA Test Kitchen has been home to seven concepts, including Middle’terranea, Little Italy, Diane’s Bloody Marys, International Smoke, and Postcards from La Costiera. Many of these concepts have found permanent homes, including International Smoke which opened in San Francisco and Cal Mare (an iteration of La Costiera) which opened at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles.
Many incredible partnerships have also resulted from The MINA Test Kitchen, including concepts with James Beard Award Winning Chef Hugo Ortega, and best-selling cookbook author and lifestyle expert Ayesha Curry. Additionally, Diane’s Bloody Marys has found great success through a partnership with Williams Sonoma and continues to be featured at Michael Mina’s Tailgate at Levi Stadium during 49er’s season.
Chef Mina and his culinary team are pursuing new chef partnerships, and will be taking some time to travel this year. “I always find inspiration when I travel, and I look forward to setting aside time for some research and development, and creating new concepts to bring to The MINA Test Kitchen in 2018,” said Mina. “The MINA Test Kitchen is an incredible place and experience for us – having the opportunity to not only test dishes, but entire concepts is a luxury most chefs don’t have,” said Mina. “Our team has done an amazing job of rolling out a new concept every 3-5 months, and now we’re going to focus on turning some of those concepts into restaurants. I have been blown away by how successful The MINA Test Kitchen has been.”
